I decided to try something new with this ring, and I love how it turned out! This striking Royston turquoise oval was calling for some hand-stamped accents, so I happily obliged!
This solid ring band is 1.5mm thick, which gives the ring a comfortable feeling on the finger. It is a size 7. I've set the stone simply in fine and sterling silver, then added flair by hand-stamping around the entire band. The inside of the band is stamped with my "be" makers mark and a ".925" sterling hallmark. The result is a mixed rustic and southwestern feeling, which I'm totally digging.
This ring was handcrafted from recycled sterling and fine silver by my two hands, through traditional metalsmithing techniques of torch and fire, hammer and file. It isn't perfect, but that's part of the character of handmade jewelry. And as with all my pieces, I've put my whole creative heart into it as well.
